Ideas for Democracy: from concern to action

People are willing to commit to democracy, we witnessed that firsthand at G1000 last weekend. We brought together around a hundred people who discussed concrete ideas to improve democracy. The result: passionate discussions, bold ideas, and action plans—sometimes concrete, sometimes just taking shape, but always inspiring.
G1000 itself once started as an idea at the kitchen table. Yesterday, brainstorming took place at 11 worktables. Who knows where this initiative will lead?

After the workshops, there was a crash course on policy influence, allowing everyone to take the first steps toward a powerful plea and persuasive speaking. For the Dutch-speaking participants, Wim Van Roy from vzw De Wakkere Burger led the session, while on the French-speaking side, Nicolas Van Nuffel, Head of Research and Advocacy at CNCD.11.11.11, took the floor.
