This October, Brussels will host the Democracy R&D 2025 conference — the annual gathering of democratic innovators working to make democracy more resilient and responsive through deliberation and democratic lotteries. G1000 is one of the organizing forces.

As the European political landscape evolves after the 2024 elections, we ask: how democratic is Europe today? But the conversation goes further. We turn to the future, exploring bold reforms, innovations, and civic initiatives that could help Europe defend democracy at home, make it more robust and inclusive and promote it globally.
